"If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. In my life with God - the Lord Jesus has completely changed my mind - renewing me in his body - the body of Christ. In all the things of this world I am forbid - for God has placed with me a covenant of all Lord's people.
When Jesus has his way with you, you will come away changed. You will no longer be the same nor will you desire to be. At once the revelation of Lord Jesus comes upon you, there is no old life to return to. What was old is dead and gone. It is better to be hindered by Christ in the flesh for the purpose of eternal life than to be consumed by the desires of the flesh which lead to death.
