"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words."
MATTHEW 6:6-7
We are designed and created to be in full and open communion with God. This is our birth right in the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior. This is why we say, "born again."The Father wants your devotion. He wants you to honor him in the specific manner that his son Jesus taught us.
Pray not for things that are passing away - but pray for the eternal fellowship the Lord offers through his son. Ask not what can be done for you, but for what you can do for your Lord.
The purpose of prayer is to communicate with God - the creator of the Heavens and the Earth and everything in it - the Creator of the seas and skies and everything in it. Prayer is an act of faith in love for God. When you pray - your mind is raised up to God with intention for God in the name of Jesus Christ.
Private prayer and devotion to God are necessary to receive power from God. It is in the private devotion where the strength of the disciple is gained and the true knowledge of our invisible God is realized.
