"May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it."
1 THESSALONIANS 5:23-24
Sanctification is allowing the spirit to have his way with you -to cleanse you before the Lord. To be one with the will of the most high God - you must be rightly related to him in mind and heart. Sanctification takes place such that the will of God WILL be done in your life.
This is the truth of Jesus - God is a Spirit - Jesus is a man - given in entirety to the Spirit of God - thru this he is God - the Lord in Heaven - showing us ALL - the way - the truth and the life. Let this truth and revelation of Jesus and the Spirit given forth guide you into abundance and sanctification.
To be Holy is a choice. To be sanctified by God is a conscious act of willingness to be made one with Christ by removing all things not related to God from your life. All interests of your mind and heart will lead to Christ - therefore allowing you - through the Spirit - to lead others to Christ. We are designed to be beautiful instruments before the Lord - to worship God and honor him in our daily lives.
The specific prayer of King Jesus:
"I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me."
The power is in the Spirit as God is a Spirit. To be one with Jesus as he was with Our Heavenly Father is to be sanctified in the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. It is the very hope of Jesus that we as chosen disciples would be willing to do what he says - all the way.
Therefore, take the Lord Christ Jesus and his very words and be willing to be one with God so that a non believer may see Christ in you and be saved. This is the hope of Christ - that after he went to heaven and delivered his Holy Spirit - we would take his truth - become sanctified in the Holy Spirit and do specifically what Jesus did without fear until he returns.
