"They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid."
MARK 10:32
People experience fear in unknown situations with Jesus - all is new - different - he shapes you and molds you as you fellowship together. Jesus Christ is faith - is truth - is love. He is unwavering - unchanging - constant. You must change to be like him.
In the walk during molding - periods of despair and dismay may strike you - find peace in Jesus. To seek him and his will is his desire of you. He desires your flesh to dwell his spirit - for this is the truth of the spirit and the truth of Jesus. Seek him always - in your seeking - you will find.
To follow Jesus - you must pass through the fear of what isn't known for the faith of the one who already secured your victory. Jesus is not a regular man and his way is not natural to your mind. Faith requires effort and willingness to be like him. To be like him you must be willing to not be like yourself any longer. This requires faith to take new action based on his word and obedience to the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was constantly correcting and teaching his disciples things that they did not know. He corrected them because they thought in the natural and asked questions based on their own understanding. He taught them his way - the way to heaven because he is love. To love is to correct another when they are misguided and taking a path that leads to death. To rebuke the misguided is to care about their own life - more than the one who is lost.
"Better is open rebuke than hidden love." Proverbs 27:5
"Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted." Galatians 6:1
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"Let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." James 5:20
