"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
HEBREWS 11:8
There is but one way - one person to follow - one leader. Jesus is the author of life - in him all faith and praise are due. Abraham listened to God - thus he was credited with Righteousness for his faith. Jesus says, Blessed are those who have not seen yet still believe.
It is your faith in God's word that allow the truth to manifest into your life through the power of faith and obedience. There is no fast track - only God's track - No time - just love - peace and patience. In this - glorify Jesus for his faith - for in him we are made whole.
The walk of faith today is not different than the walk of faith for those that have come before. Abraham - Isaac - Jacob - Moses - Noah and many others throughout history have displayed great faith to God for the purpose of God. These great and faithful servants all had to place their personal knowledge aside and rely on God to go where they were supposed to go. They did not know the future or what they may encounter - but they knew they were listening to God and were willing to have faith in him to do what he asked of them.
Faith endures embarrassment - loss of all that is known to you - ridicule - hate - and jealousy - for the hope of a promise. Faith is obedience in adversity. For those who seek Christ - Faith is the only way to live. Faith is an action as love is an action - it does not remain idle but is worked out in obedience for the hope and purpose of Christ.
"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." Hebrews 11:6
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7
"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works..." James 2:14-18
