"If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death."
1 JOHN 5:16
The power of heaven lives in prayer - the prayer of a true spirit of God. Let not your own walk to righteousness make you a zealot for correction. The Lord gives you his spirit such that he can serve his will in your flesh. This requires you getting out of your flesh and letting Jesus spirit live complete in you.
In this way - the intercessory prayer is powerful as it carries the power and truth of the spirit of Jesus Christ. We are to be servants of the Lord for his righteous glory such that we too may be saved - such that we may glorify Christ Jesus in us.
Jesus is not glorified in the hypocrisy of correcting one that is unaware of their sin - while the one who corrects also sins. To guide and teach is to love - to be a mouthpiece of rebuke without introducing Jesus through prayer is not leading a person of sin into righteousness but rather keeping them in the dark. Jesus desires a personal relationship with all of his people - a relationship in which the Holy Spirit will be born in them - and the Spirit will dwell with them and teach the one who was in the dark to live in the light.
Jesus Christ is the way to heaven and the power of the Holy Spirit is necessary to no longer sin. There is no set of words that can teach a human to not sin - this was represented by the first covenant given to Moses - in which all people fell short. Jesus came to set all people free through the power of re-birth in the Holy Spirit - the Spirit of truth.
"Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come." Matthew 12:31-32
God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
